South East Asia is an economy growing rapidly and the purchasing behavior of consumers has largely moved to online platforms, challenging traditional brick and mortar malls. In business to business we observe similar trends where 80% of information gathering takes place before contacting suppliers and where the digital economy growth is outpacing non-digital growth by a factor of 3. Digital economies in South East Asia are set to grow more than tenfold the coming six years and companies need localized strategies to avoid pitfalls that made some companies grow significantly slower than their peers.
Following up on our e-commerce seminar from June 2018, SwedCham and Business Sweden invites you to learn more about the growth in business to business E-Commerce where Martin Glaumann, Market Area Director at Business Sweden, and Johan Möller, Project Manager at Business Sweden Jakarta will share observations on what is happening in South East Asia and how some companies are using E-Commerce to rapidly expand their reach and sales in the Asian powerhouses of growth using the relevant local ecosystem and a localized go-to-market strategy.
To round off, Mr. Per Magnusson, Executive Vice Chairman of Jebsen & Jessen, will share Jebsen & Jessen´s learnings from launching a B2B e-commerce initiative from Singapore.
